Director's cut adds only a few nice linchpins to the story, explaining minor details, that are somewhat important to the plot, and without which, few things are left to our imagination. We assume the scene is in the present and the voice a subjective internal voice-over, but then the shot cuts to a long shot of a silhouetted Celandine standing nude outside the bathroom, establishing this as a flashback.
However for Donald's sake I struggled through. It's a slowly paced, talky thriller that just doesn't cut it. It was quite expensive, but it was kind of footed by the idea of enthusiasm.
